Then again if they wanted him dead he would be dead , no knife , just 2 to the head and probably no body

He could of possibly been disciplined for breaking his oath and talking about some of the most powerful Gambinos at the time.

Unfortunately we will likely never know the exact details of the incident , but I think it raises the possibility that this incident was Jr being disciplined
