Gotti only accelerated the inevitable. If it wasn't him, it would have been the next flamboyant guy who grabbed the top spot in his family. And there were A LOT of flashy mob guys back then, it wasn't just Gotti.

Even the Westside had their share. If you think they didn't, then you never saw Rudy Santobello or Joe Dente stroll Arthur Avenue during the summer. They're both dead, rest in peace, so I don't mind saying it. But they walked the neighborhood like they fucking owned it. And they did. Rudy in his loud pastels and Joe in his quadruple xl camp shirts. But most of you haven't, so you can't be held accountable for believing everything that you read or see in a Youtube video.

As far as Alite and Junior. They're both thugs, and now they're both rats. Those 302s are real. If you didn't grow up around it, and you're unfamiliar with the Gottis and the New York mob of the '80s, and you feel that you have to read those books, keep in mind that the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. And that's when two honest people are doing the recollecting wink.

"I got news for you. If it wasn't for the toilet, there would be no books." --- George Costanza.
