"A Deadly Business"....It's a movie about Harold Kauffman, a mob associate turned CI in the garbage industry. It also touches on a NYC garbage hauler named Charles Macaluso, who operated a company out of the Middlesex County NJ area.

It's a decent flick...A young Armand Assante is in the movie.

The script by Al Ramrus is based on the true story of Harold Kaufman, portrayed by Alan Arkin as a little guy with a conscience, especially after he participates in a Passover seder with the family of his new female friend. Just for sympathetic-image insurance, the woman, named Ann Behrens, is played by Michael Learned, long the indomitable mother of ''The Waltons.'' On the Mafia side, the familiar types range from the impeccably tailored businessman Charles Macaluso, done to a silky villainous turn by Armand Assante, to the fat, jolly killer named Vitola, realized with perfect obnoxiousness by Jon Polito.
