Did I read somewhere that he met with Ricca about something and Ricca did him a favor out of respect for his late father? I forget what.
I read recently that Sonny once reached out to Murray Humphries in the 1940s and requested money to help his mother through some medical issues - Hump brought it up with Accardo and Ricca and they said "no - you wont get any more than we are giving you currently" and that was that. I may have read that on the boards somewhere recently so apologize if I don't have the facts straight.
I do know the Outfit had a terrible habit of extorting the kids of former bosses. Paul Ricca's sons (Paul Jr) and Bobby were both extorted.
