Worst part is, if John allowed them to plea, Gene and Carnegs would have been home more than ten years ago. That's a lot to wake up to every day when you wake up in a cage.

And the sad part is that pleas are the norm today. John Gotti and the Gambinos were really behind the curve there, whereas the Westside snd the Lukes have taken the plea bargain and made it an art form. It's one of the things allowing them to hang on.

That was Gotti's biggest shortcoming, his refusal to deal. Not his flashiness. I knew a hundred assholes just as flashy as John. John's batshit anti-government stance hurt more people than his Brioni suits.
