Don't take that list above as being literal. "Marone" (as said in Brooklyn) is the same as "Madonna", and the literal translation would be "Mary, mother of God". Its used to exclaim surprise or amazement. For instance, you go to buy a loaf of bread and the baker tells you it costs $20. You might say, "Marone", and you might be thinking, "Oh shit", but its literally, "Mother of God" (as if implying disbelief).
