Think about this for a minute: It really was dumb luck that he stumbled upon that wire under the table. A fidgety old man fumbling around and he accidentally found the wire, and it set off a chain reaction of paranoia.

Point being, everyone goes on and on about the Westside being the sharpest and most secretive (and I'm the first one to agree with that assessment). But if Buster didn't get fidgety that day, the Genovese family could well be in as much trouble as everyone else today.

When you're good, you tend to get lucky. That's how I see it, anyway.
