What activities does he have left , managing a package ?
I'd be curious to know what rackets Philly still generates big $ in
I'm assuming they are mainly gambling from books to poker machines , setting up big poker games etc.
And some minor insurance or real estate scams and legit bars and restaurants
Gambling is very lucrative if you have the volume ( but not for everyone ) and the Westside has made moves in their market share the last 15 years or so .
I believe they do sports ticket scalping too .
These guys were monsters in extortion and construction back in the day , I'm sure in SP they still have a nice revenue stream . They likely have their share of dealers but on the smaller side . It would be great to know the size of the pie today and get a sense of how well they are doing . Scarfo jr for all his faults really did mastermind a very successful stock and corp looting scam that probably fed the admin for years . If I were Ligambo I would have retired as well , similiar to Gotti jr living off the Tore internet charge scam .
With the cyber breach exposure today , I'm sure some international extortion scam has either been set up or is in the process of it , it really should be the next monster money making score . With the Italians having groups in the US , EU , Turkey , central and South America and Australia , they have the geographic presence to probably make it work and hide the $ around the world. The Russians are probably already in it

These guys in philly are a peculiar bunch. I cant imagine ny guys from the genovese crew selling t-shirts in a parking lot of a mets game. That is just plain weird. But I can imagine guys from the Colombos, Bonannos, or Lucheses doing something like this.

The s philly real estate market was just ranked as #2 in the US as the hottest in the nation and I wonder if these knuckleheads are going to be able to profit from this in the future....I know that niccodemo and his people have/had some properties in the area, no clue on that right now...it will interesting to see the information that comes out in the upcoming trial I have to say that's one thing that they do have an ear to the ground for. Many of them are blue collar guys ,they are in the trades and do keep and eye for that stuff. many do the rehab and flipping to make money. (and the other flipping also )

Agree 100%. I don't think John Dougherty, or Ed Coryell, or the Dougherty from the iron workers, which is now being run by STATE SENATE LEADER Sweeney check in with goombah johnny in south philly for anything. And yes, I know the one of the ligambi's is in the Electricians union local 98. So are 4000 other guys and girls. He's an honest kid working everyday. No nonsense going on there. There are a few developers in the Philly; maybe 5 heavyweights. And none of them are being extorted. The way the building economy is in philadelphia, EVERY worker in the union and Every politician in the city, and every investigator would do EVERYTHING in their power to make sure no one harms their work. I've said it a bunch on here. You can't compare Philly to NYC, in terms of development. NYC is the biggest, richest city in the world. Real estate prices are always at a premium. It is recession proof. IN 2008, when the market busted, A ton of blue collar guys in Philly were sitting for almost 2 years because the Developers didn't want to "risk" the success of the project, while NYC kept developing. TRUST ME, I Work in it and not in the unions. Sorry not to be rude.. Almost everyone has this freakin fantasy that the mob gets money from the union.. no.. no.. I think people aren't thinking sometimes.. it aint the 70's... Now the contractors who have the jobs are making the money.. ok not the mob guys... and therefore it trickles down for the men working on the sites.. like me I am in that area I will just say.. and there I receive a pay check at the end of the week for the work that I do.. ok.. not some mob kid
Boss of tha toilet!

I stated this in the food forum the other day but will put it here as well- Phil Narducci owns Philip's Steaks in South Philly , which in my opinion is the best Cheesesteak in Philly for a real South Philly experience that the tourists stay away from. I highly recommend going there for your Cheesesteak in Philly. Can you get his autograph too? He's my favorite ball player.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.
