A lot of what Roberts claims in American Desperado seems extremely exaggerated and far fetched, however the author did in fact dig into practically every story Jon told him and verifies them as fact at the bottom of a lot of the pages in the book quoting old friends, newspaper articles and such. This guy lived one helluva life
I imagine that's why he wrote the book. A lot of the stuff is pretty wild.
