No. This was in the Philip Carlo book. Around the time of the Windows Scam, Venero Mangano led Amuso & Casso through underground tunnels to Gigante's place and they had a meeting. Gigante offered drinks (you're not supposed to accept), Amuso obliged, got hammered, banged his fists on the table and demanded money the Genovese supposedly owed the Lucchese, Casso was "embarrassed" and felt like slapping Amuso in the face.
Take it with a pinch of salt because of the source.
I also read that Gigante and Amuso were at a wake and Gigante intimidated a "shaking" Amuso who thought he was going to get whacked.
So if one story is true, the other can't be.
