As has been posted before. South Philly's big thing is the Mummers. A bunch of my friends are members of 2 street stompers. Another club is the Jester which has been posted showing multiple gangsters. I've often thought that Silvio Dante's outfits may have been based on Rudy's. But Rudy was a much better dresser overall. His appearance meant a lot to him. But he had the habit of wearing the occasional pink or yellow jacket (think DeNiro in "Casino"). No excuses because he was a party to the murder of a police officer. But he did a lot of time for it, and he honestly wasn't the type who'd hurt a guy over money. The Rudy who came home from prison AFTER the cop killing wasn't such a bad guy, as far as those guys go.

Other than Jo Jo's Crew that worked the Clubs in Chester W Va. all the other "Good Fellows" where at The Hollywood Social Club for New Year's Eve thru the next day ;-)

Which brings us to Patricia Goodwin of Las Vegas, who remembers the Hollywood Social Club's deviled crab: "I lived in Pittsburgh from birth through the '50s. I would frequent the Hollywood Social Club. On the menu was deviled crab, and to this day I think about it.
