Anyway, Judge Owen had a real hard on for mafiosi more than any other criminals, which is why his sentencing was so harsh for this case.

That must have been great to witness that as that trial unfolded. Like I said I'm only 30 right now probably a lot younger than other but that era and commission case just fascinates the hell out of me for some reason, even though I was 3 at the time. I would have loved to been at trial.

I really wish some of these Italian docs could be subbed. In particular, Uomini d'Honore (2009) -- there is a 3-minute trailer on youtube with English subtitles, but the film in its entirety appears to be available only in Italian with German subtitles

I have no idea how they haven't made a documentary or at least translated one about Raffaele Cutolo. His whole story is just completely insane... he had a crazy life, most of which was behind bards, and YET he was able to organize a new Camorra from prison which grew at one point to about 3000-man strong, and rivaled the original Camorra.
If anybody is interested there's a movie about this called "Il camorrista" or the English dubbed version "The Professor (1986)"
It's a little hard to find a copy unless, you know how to get them.. another way.
