I thought Operation Slap Shot was an extremely interesting organized crime betting ring bust that was so interesting because it involved state troopers, professional athletes, and the mob. I will be posting articles on the bust to hopefully spring some discussion: Who thinks Wayne Gretzky was involved? How did the NJ State Trooper get away with this for so long? Do you believe this ring paid protection/street tax to Philly LCN? Was this ring supervised by either Anthony Staino or Mousie?
