Except looks like Carlo only let his blood relatives deal in heroin, i.e., his brother Paolo and the Cherry Hills. Or rather, dos anybody know of any non-blood relatives of Carlo who dealt in heroin during his time, i.e., pre-1976 . . . .
From what I can tell, the Detroit crime family had large amounts of the materials used to make narcs, and many other crime families did business with them, till the U.S. Sicilian pipeline was put in place. Palermo and Trapani were the biggest suppliers to the United States.
Were there laboratories in Detroit? Was heroin being refined in Detroit? If so, where was the raw product coming from? And which decades are we discussing? 1920s and 30s?
