From what I can tell, the Detroit crime family had large amounts of the materials used to make narcs, and many other crime families did business with them, till the U.S. Sicilian pipeline was put in place. Palermo and Trapani were the biggest suppliers to the United States.
Yep, On Paolo Gambino's page in the Federal Bureau of Narcotics book it says Paolo was a big dope guy and also suspected of bringing large numbers of illegal aliens into the country. Probably through Canada.
