The Deer Hunter
182 Minutes
Winner of 5 Oscars

An in-depth examination of the ways in which the U.S. Vietnam war impacts and disrupts the lives of people in a small industrial town in Pennsylvania.

A fantastic film of how 5 friends deal with life before, during and after the Vietnam War.

And the last film John Cazale starred in before his premature death, in-fact he died before the film was released..

It Is Driven By Greed And Controlled By Fear.

Between The Law And The Mafia, The Law Is Not The Most To Be Feared

"What if the Mafia were not an organization but a widespread Sicilian attitude of hostility towards the law?"

Cazale was very good friends with Al Pacino. He was also Meryl Streep's boy friend.

I never thought of this movie as a war movie. I always thought about this movie as a movie about friends that were like brothers.

Look what DiNero was willing to do for Walken.

What did Walkin do with all the money he made playing Russian Roulette?

and it shows how war can screw up the lives of those brothers. Superbly acted, but a depressing story with little hope for the future.
