This is not a perfect world. Not everyone has the capital to start a business and keep it going until it turns a profit. Except for young people living home with Mom and Dad, people have rent, groceries and other basic subsistence needs that must be met. And then there are the people who did try to make it big and got screwed by customers who had more and/or better lawyers to avoid paying.
