The AFC is very competitive this year. If the NFC South's division winner is at 6-7 wins, then the league should seriously look to tinker with its seeding. Let's suppose New Orleans wins the division at 7-9, much like Seattle a few years ago. Why should they host a Wild Card game against a team with a better record? The answer is that the worse record shouldn't host a playoff game - period.

The NFC is shaping up to be interesting too. The Cardinals are in a slide right now with the Packers ready to take over the top seed in the conference. And Seattle, who many left for dead a few weeks ago, is back among the top teams. Should be an interesting last quarter to the regular season.
