I'll go ya one better. His real first name is Adolph! His parents came over from Italy and settled in the East end of the city. No one knows for sure,but I've heard different stories about the name.The most common is that the family wanted to assimilate,and avoid some of the hardships associated with an Italian surname. There may be someone out there with more info,and if so please share. I've always wondered about it myself.

Junior's birthday is coming up (I think it's Nov. 28 or 29),so they may have a celebration on the TV show.Maybe he'll reminisce and give us the story.
