We are taught has a child not to take sweets from strangers but on Halloween it's acceptable, call me a bore but i just don't get it..

On candy on hallow winie you can take it. But parents had to check it before they can eat it.
Remember the treat but remember the trick when you did not get anything or no one was home.
Had socks with powder or chalk in it they get hit with it or hit the door with it. Throw eggs at people or the door.
