Is there any activity going on at all these days or did their whole organization crumble like a cheap block of feta?
I've read that whatever activity that is left is run by Chicago.
Lefty respected/feared the midwest guys because he thought they were crazy for using bombs. That did seem to be a popular weapon for the midwest and rust belt families during the 1960-80's.
Ahh was that the reason? The previous post before you gave good info but I was more interested in the dealings with NY and why a killer like lefty from NY would be scared of some smaller Wisconsin family. Was balistrieri a Chicago transplant or something? It just seems so strange. Maybe I'm being NY-centric but I pictured the 5 families being on top and not really caring about guys from the midwest except maybe chicago
