I think I should clarify my use of the word "hitman" I intended for it to be synonymous to mob killer,hitter,gunner,thug, psycho etc. I did not mean literally someone you pay 10k to who wears a black suit with a sniper rifle in a briefcase.
Do those people even exist? I really don't know: I only know them from movies like The day of the Jackal end The American for instance. (if so, contact me)
I think the Jewish hitters of Murder Inc likely got paid. Why else would they do those hits for the Italian families? Then there was the sniper who killed the elder Rizzuto. Most mobsters are that good of shots.
