And there aren't any current "haunts" on or around Mulberry, unless you count the restaurants that are still owned by wiseguys, like Casa Bella or Da Nico. But more politicians and cops eat in those places than mob guys these days.

That neighborhood is over as far as Italian Americans go. The stores and tourist trap restaurants will always be around. And the Feast is as much a New York City tradition as it is an Italian Catholic tradition, so that will always be around as well. But anyone looking for "Mean Streets" these days is going to be terribly disappointed.
