I know it is kind of touchy, depressing subject but I can't help it.

I think he was friends with the killers, he was one of the lucky ones..

He was. They had a falling out for a little while then made up not long before the massacre.

He spoke to Harris just before the massacre actually started.

Moe, I have read that and many other books on the topic lol.

I believe Brooks was more friends of Harris than Klebold.

I believe I was in Kindergarten when this happened, so obviously don't remember much of it besides the video of the kids running out of the school.

I am interested in knowing more about what happened, and so far read only a few stuff. And, watched Bowling for Columbine in high school.

I know everything about it lol. Ask away.

Trick question lol. Many theories have evolved since then. Movies, music, video games, bullying, etc. To date, there is no clear motive. Journals of the two (Harris more than Klebold) suggest bullying somewhat, but later investigation shows there was bullying at the school and from what I read it does sound like Harris was bullied, maybe Klebold, but Eric more so.

My theory, two angry and depressed teenagers who hated society and everyone in it. They no longer wanted to live but wanted to take some people they didn't like with them. They were also obsessed with terrorism, especially the Oklahoma City Bombing. So they wanted to "go out with a bang", no pun intended. I agree bullying had something to do with it, but it had to more thsn that. Later speculations say Eric was a psychopath and Klebold was manic depressive. I didn't know them so I can't say either way. But they were obviously not right.


So in short, two pissed off, mentally ill teens who wanted tp kill people they didn't like. They also felt they were "gods" of some sort. Plus, they wanted this to be remembered forever. So maybe they had some form of "short man" sy

Then there was the bullying culture of the school.

Harris' parents ignored some pretty ominous signs.

They wanted instant gratification and notoriety. Sound familiar? That's what a lot of teenagers want these days - admittedly on a smaller scale.

Not just teenagers either. James Holmes, that Sandy Hook maniac (don't remember his name), that Arizona crazy fuck, and Cho from Virginia Tech. Not teens but young adults, yes.

I also feel Harris felt like he didn't belong anywhere. He moved around a lot, being a military child.

was there something about them being- [gothic} I heard that they and some of their friends were into being gothic.

Eh, not really. That came with the "they worshipped Marilyn Manson" thing. They figured out they either listened to Manson very little or not at all. They liked some more "gothic" type of bands. They weren't the kind that painted their nails black, wore white make up and eyeliner, and wore chains and shit.

As far as I know, they didn't have any "goth" friends either. They claimed to be outcasts, but they had more friends than they made people believe. Their friends may have been other outcasts too but friends none the less.

well, I know this. the kid in Colorado {the movie theatre} and the boy in newtown.{ the school} I can honestly say, those homicidal video games played a role in those killings. they were both video addicts. thinking life is a video game.

There are millions of kids who are glued to their X-Boxes and PlayStations, they don't go out and start shooting.

Also, that 25 minute video isisn't worth the watch. It says really nothing. "Hitmen for Hire" is an interesting watch though.
