There is an interesting FBI file that covers an induction ceremony from 1956 involving Joe Ferriola and Anthony Eldorado. Their sponsors were Fiore Buccieri and Willie Daddano, respectively. Apparently, there was a big banquet with a lot of prominent Outfit guys present. Buccieri and Daddano introduced Ferriola and Eldorado as "one of us" and gave a toast as well as some additional words concerning their loyalty and responsibilities as members. There was no mention of finger pricking or the burning of holy cards.
