Might be a bit off topic and it was mentioned above, but why was Joe Colombo installed as boss, after ratting on Magliocco and Bonanno. I would have thought he would have been whacked after reveiling the deception. Also Joe Colombo was only a Captain, Who was Underboss and Consigliere at the time that Magliocco got shelved?
Gambino pushed for Colombo to be boss, then controlled him..smart move, made him even more dominant over the commission.
