With the exception of Joey T and Jimmy Ran, there hasnt been a whole lot of bonanno or colombo presence in the newark area.
Newark is a shadow of its former self as far as lcn is concerned. Although there is still some activity, its not even close to what it was even 20 years ago.
Silver lake was a tough area back in the day, Cabert was from there along with many others.
Lodi was also a tough town back in the day as was bayonne.
East hanover/ florham park has a few made guys originally from newark, the younger guys are a bunch of half assed numbers runners who think they are big time criminals. Total joke and not even worth elaborating.
