My brother is a lifelong deep sea fisherman--fishes out of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn and often sends me pictures like the ones you posted. Lives for bluefish, says they give him the best fight. Only fishing in my area is out of small lakes that the state restocks periodically. Not for me: I don't have the patience for fishing.

We had a great day on my Friends Boat.

Fished for Striped Bass and Fluke, the fish we caught were shorts, so they had to go back.

Striped Bass need to be 28" and Fluke need to be 18"

We caught 2 - schoolie stripers at 24" and 3 - short fluke under 18"

All returned to the ocean to grow a bit more.

Here is what the Stripe Bass look like., Down south they call them Rock Fish.

Going out again next week so hope I get a Big one.

Got into the Bull Reds a few weeks back, those are fun to catch!

We supposedly have Striped Bass in the Gulf down here, but I have yet to see anyone catch them. How far out did y'all go Dues?

We have some big freshwater stripers here between Montgomery and Auburn. Think the state record came out of the same spot.

We were supposed to go to South Carolina to fish for catfish but the guy was booked up. Lake Moultrie I think, he guarantees 100lbs. in one night.

Hey! Not yet. My mom knows how to make it, so next time I seen her she's going to help me cook haha. Can't wait to try it out though.

And yeah they fought good. Caught a bunch of mahi mahi too. My uncle caught a 48lb which put up a good fight. Another person where we where got a 280 lb marlin.

A funny story...I persuaded the wife to go fishing with me (I knew/still know nothing about fishing). It was at a local river and I eventually passed her the rod- she caught a fish after about an hour and started to panic-I had no idea what to do either but told her to get the hook out...she tried for a few seconds and ended up pushing the 2 hooks through the front of its eyeballs...! I was nearly sick, she was hysterical...never again, I'm not even going to take her on a golf course...!

They really weren't clear on sailfish. But we threw it back. It was rare to catch one now. They Usually weren't there till august either. we thought it was a marlin at first till we got it close.

Outstanding, what a trip.

It was a truly awesome trip. Weird staying at a resort though where most everyone is in bed at 10 haha. Even the bars in the sleepy town closed early cause everyone was fishing.
