For those who know, do you guys think gentrification of black areas in NYC will prompt some of these crews to move back to neighborhoods like Brownsville and open up some legitimate, and obviously illegitimate, businesses?
I think the type of white people that gentrification attracts is not the type of white people who like to place wagers, borrow money, etc.
Exactly. Wiseguys don't like Yuppies any more than they like Blacks. And generally speaking, they really don't like Blacks. These guys ain't exactly bastions of liberalism .
