They post about these cases for 2 reasons.. 1) justify the existence of a rackets division. 2) as futile as it may be, to let the mob know they still investigate.
It's definitely to justify the one measly squad the feds have left. But I am happy to see we can still be reminded that organized crime still exists! You need that reminder every now and again.
