Genovese were active in Williamsburg and to an extent, Carrol Gardens .
Of course they were active in Brooklyn. You had Al Gallo and Allie Shades both active at that time, not to mention Punchy and a slew of other guys. But the Genovese power base was never in Brooklyn, and I doubt Sammy would have ever moved past soldier out there. It's all moot anyway. These "what if?" threads always are
