McCluskey getting rid of the guards surely made sense to the nurse. Or at least didn't arouse suspicion. Why would she interfere with police business, especially when it accomplished what she probably wanted to do herself.

But forcing a nurse to leave would have arisen suspicion, or at least questions. Why take that risk?
