Once on Frank Costello would be incredible as well. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of updated, quality biographies on Costello or Luciano.

Yes, Costello would make a perfect biopic candidate because so little has been written about him (and nothing filmed). It could focus on his political finesse rather than the violence (and fiction about violence) that surrounds all the other Mob biopics. Could also cover his oddities--like his Jewish wife, his visits to a shrink, his apartment in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, etc. Yes, for all of those reasons, TB .

Carlos Marcello would be a great subject for a well done biopic. His control of the Mafia in Louisiana was unchallenged for 30 years, and there are some great storylines in his career.
He allowed Frank Costello to bring in his slot machines after Frank became the target of LaGurdia's reform movement in New York City.
He was basically kidnapped by the Feds and deported to Guatemala,of all places.
He was a mutimillionaire from his legitimate business interests.
He was powerful enough to enforce a "no Mob guys in Louisiana" policy. No Mafiosi was allowed to visit, even for vacation or to go to Mardi Gras, unless he got explicit permission from Carlos.
Like Castellano and Gambino,he made sure that his descendents were established in legitimate enterprises.
Although he did go to prison a couple times, his power, influence, and income never suffered.
All in all,a pretty cool Mob story.

Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

While so little has been written or shown about Costello, there is even less out there about the life of Mr. Neil Dellacroce. There is basically NOTHING out there about him. Neil was quite an interesting character. I believe he started out overseeing gambling operations and soon became known as a sadistic, ruthless, highly efficient earner. He got hooked up with Anastasia, and after Gambino took over, agreed to be Carlo's Underboss. Although everyone expected Neil to kill Gambino and become Boss,he honored the arrangement, and later, did the same thing with Big Paul. In his personal code of honor, the Boss came first, above everything. He was the classic old school Mob guy. Even if he aspired to be Boss,he would never participate in or sanction any type of plot against a superior. Gotti knew this, and as long as Neil was alive,Paulie was safe. I agree with your choice,Neil is a fascinating pick for a (well made) documentary.

I would also like to see maybe a biopic series on the pre Castellammarese war clans across the country. Another I would like to see would be one on the Tampa bolita wars. This has all been done to death. I don't think we'll ever see another feature film of any kind on this. Simply put, the audience who may have at one time made this hypothetical film is no longer a target demographic for movie goers. In reality, after Boardwalk Empire however historically inaccurate parts may have been, this alongs with Mobsters (1991) I feel was the nail in the coffin for films and shows with this content structure. Even after TNT did the "Mob City" mini series in Bugsy Siegel in LA, I feel that anything surrounding the Castellammarese War is that of history. They're still trying to figure out how to tell the stories that happened in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s in compelling ways. I think that with respect the stories of the 1900's. 1910's, early 1920's have been so poorly done to this point that all the facts are known, most have'n't been depicted memorably but that being said there have been countless attempts to do so.
