It definitely won't be that great. It's about an event that just happened to take place in Chicago to an Outfit boss, not the Outfit itself. Doesn't sound all that different from Casino, which, aside from Pesci actually working a competent Grand Avenue accent, was very lackluster.

I really wish they'd make a Chicago Mafia worth a piss one of these days. About Taylor Street during the 50s/60s, Aiuppa/Ferriola/Carlisi's Cicero during the 60's/70s/80s, or Chinatown under the LaPietra family. Or Lombardo's Grand Avenue during the 70s/80s. They'd need to include the heavy Chicago accents, the unique Outfit attire, and tons of Chicago idiosyncrasies & quirks. That would be actually be interesting.

Calabrese, Jr was in talks with HBO/showtime or one of those networks to produce a series or a TV film. But that probably won't ever happen. And then there's Mark Wahlberg's planned adaptation of Cooley's book, but there hasn't been any word on that in quite a while. It probably wouldn't have been legit anyways.

Oh Well. Guess I'll just have to start penning my own damn Outfit film or TV series!
