All these guys are in like their 80's, right? And I'm guessing they're not hurting for money. I would also think that any conviction would be a life sentence since most have "pulled time" previously. So why in the world would they take any unnecessary chances ? I just wonder if "the life" is the only way they know and are simply addicted to the risk-taking and the thrill of organized crime. Just can't give it up. I may be way off here, but it just seems like these guys can't get out and stay out.
I would be shocked if DiFronzo isn't retired and has been for a long time
Marcello certainly didn't seem to be but he spent I think at least 15 of the last 20 years in prison.
