I didn't want to get into it with Ivy and a few of the other guys who believe that story, but fuck it. It's bullshit. Vinny's people did that on the sneak and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
I've lived within spitting distance of BOTH sides of that story for over fifty years, and there's
NOT ONE SINGLE STREET GUY in the Bronx who believes Dom gave the nod.
And as far as the jailhouse conversation that Vinny had with Massino, where he said "that was Dom's doing"?
OF COURSE he denied it. Massino was still the boss at the time, and the idea of him eventually becoming a rat was absurd. Vinny
HAD TO deny it or risk getting hit himself.
