I heard that he did not collect much from his capos. He did not demand nearly the kind of money from them the he could've. Some people he might have collected nothing from, others maybe a little more. And, this would obviously increase loyalty and give you some happy capos. I don't like to say things like this without a source...but I can't remember where I heard this. Some book or show or something where they were discussing payments. Has anybody else heard the same thing?
Yeah, but his sons Andrew and Vinnie were getting rich enough for the entire family, and all of it funneled through legit companies and union contracts, so it all worked out in the end.
Just because Vince didn't keep the money for himself doesn't mean that his blood family didn't benefit enough for all of them
