Actually, it was CBS, if I recall, and they said Gore took Florida AND the Presidency.
I am saying that FOX gave George W Florida before it was really was over.
About CBS: Do you have any sources that you can show me that confirms this?
I don't remember it being Fox who jumped th gun in 2000, and I don't think any of the stations certainly gave Florida to Bush. CBS, like I said (from my recollection) was the one who announced that Gore took Florida hours before most precincts reported in, and the rest of the stations jumped on the bandwagon.
