My feeling is that the practice is probably constitutional under current binding precedent, but morally and legally very dubious and wrong.
Well put. No matter where you stand on the sentence, I think the Judge acted within his rights.
And on that basis, I'll be shocked if it gets reversed on appeal. But stranger things have happened. But hey, at least Dino will be smiling for the first 17 years .
