He had close ties to Jimmy and Pat Terzini, Cosimo Andaloro, Rocco Louri, (all deceased) and the local 442 and local 35 LIUNA crews. While it was before my time, I was told years ago that the power struggle between Pieri and Freddie Lupo was highly overstated.
