Top 8 - Audition Songs + Duets

No one was bad this week, but it was a bit sleepy for most of them, IMHO.

Code:
B+ Alex "Fairytales" [sic.] (original)
B+ Caleb "Chain of Fools"
B Jena "Rolling In The Deep"
B Malaya "Ain't No Way"
B Dexter "One Mississippi"
B CJ "Soul Shine"
B Jessica "Blue-Eyed Lie" (original)
B Sam "Lego House"

JESS was good, nothing wrong with it, but a bit Zzzz. K: Move more; J: Perfect

CJ was okay, no problems, better than audition and previous weeks. Judges thought he did a good job

DUET: Jena & Alex, "Just Give Me A Reason" (B)

SAM was also good, but needs to mature more, vocally. H: Make a connection; K: Better every week

DUET: Jess & Caleb, "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" (B)

MALAYA was mature-sounding, almost. Great potential. J: Poised; K: Great, work on runs (perfect all 12 notes of the scale)

DEX sounded good, too, 99% of the time. H: Great to hear you sing

DUET: Malaya & Sam, "Lucky" (C+)

JENA was more confident, a big difference from the audition. K: Made it your own

DUET: Dex & CJ, "Alright" (B)

CALEB was "ready" yesterday, wow! K: Blues Warrior, R&R Viking; H: Try something new (subdued) next week

ALEX was very good, as usual. Good original, too. Judges agreed.

...when everyone's good, it's tougher to rank them! But I still was a little bored overall -- could've been just me, though.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
