I was there for the sentencing even though I was only like 12 or 13 at the time. My father was the court clerk for Judge Richard Owen and I was fascinated with the courts at that time and was able to sit in on a lot of high profile cases.

Anyway, Judge Owen had a real hard on for mafiosi more than any other criminals, which is why his sentencing was so harsh for this case.

And I remember all the wives were there everyday and playing up to the marshals, being nice and all, so they'd allow them to bring in home cooked meals to their husbands. lol They'd be bringing in trays of baked ziti and veal cutlet, etc It was pretty funny.
