I was just over on gangsters inc reading the latest articles and saw an entry for this new book. "Histoire Crime Organise A Montreal" (obv a quebecois french title, but there will be an english print soon) by Pierre De Champlain. I know a lot of people are big on the Montreal organized crime scene so I thought I might as well post it up on here.

If anyone is curious De Champlain is a retired intelligence officer for the RCMP and he has also written the more nebulous "Mobsters, Gangsters and Men of Honour" - Not too sure how great of a writer this guy is (I haven't read any of his work), but his credentials are nothin' to turn your nose up at.

I have, however, read: The Road to Hell: "How the Biker Gangs Are Conquering Canada" by Julian Sher and William Marsden. It was very good. And, spent a lot of time on the quebec biker war between the HA and Rock Machine in the early-mid(?) 90's. it also covers a bit of Winnipeg, but it's mostly Quebec/BC/Ontario.
