Greek Sicilian Mafia Don with a Cuban gangster as his avatar - awesome.

Greece is visually beautiful. But it's lucky that pictures of the country aren't scratch and sniff (the internet has a long way to go). Sorry mang but you have bad sewerage problems. Mind you, I have only visited one part of Greece where it is overrun British drunkards, and I wouldn't blame you if those areas were undeveloped because of that. But, as much as I understand, that isn't the case.

Cyprus is the nicest of all the Greek islands, I agree with the sewage statement turi greece, has problems there, but greeks and italians are the same, e.g the greeks colonized sicily and the romans ruled cyprus etc...

Greek Sicilian Mafia Don - Knock it off. If you want to say something, say it. In one complete thought/post. You do NOT need to bump your own posts because no one has replied. It's annoying, and not appreciated here. And watch the wisecracks in other threads; as a newbie, you're not going to paint yourself in a postive light that way.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

On the subject of Greeks and Italians, I'd recommend a trip to cyprus to anyone who has not yet been, it is beautiful especially paphos and the troodos mountains. Anyone been to Cyprus or Sicily?

I am Italian and I know Greeks. Except for both being on the Medditeranean, they aren't very alike at all. Especially their cultures in America.

southern itlains have greek blood, and greek cypriots may have italian blood due to cyprus' roman rule, northern italians are not at all like greek/sicilians

To answer your question, gunieapig, my Italian blood comes from northern Italy around Parma. They came from lower Italy, though, down by and below Naples.

Sorry, but Cyprus isn't a Greek Island. Its an independent republic.

I used to live in Cyprus, and I have also been to Sicily. They are both very beautiful places, and have a number of things in common, for example they have both been under the rule of various invaders in the past. Indeed, part of Cyprus is still under occupation by Turks. Both islands have strong and traditional family values.

But there are many differences as well. The people don't look the same to my eyes, other than being generally olive skinned, both have physical characteristics that set them apart.

After all, they are 2 different places and the differences more than equal the similarities.

Glad I'm not the only one getting his garbage. I truly think the guy is Michael Montana Mancini.

He's sending you guys PM's?

Whatever... this guy needs to accept the Greeks are basically nothing like Italians. I know a lot of Greeks who try to act like they're Italian, but just don't have the blood. So this guy wants to be shown loyalty? Does he think he's Sollozzo or something?

Speaking of which, is his ban up by now? Or did he just float off into cyberspace?

Holy Crap, I spoke too soon. He's in the Sopranos Forum. Let's give him a chance though. He's been unbanned for a day and that's all I see so far.

Good Luck GSMD!
