They were never really that heavly involved in drugs(aside from long john), at least not involved in the distribution, but during the scarfo through merlino years when they had they had there street taxes going they were extorting drug dealers on a pretty large scale. And in more recent times i think it would be more common for them to give a guy a loan to get his startup for the drug business then actually be pushing the drugs themselves.
