I worked at 1095 Ave of the Americas (6th Ave) and 42nd St. I used to go up to 48th and browse thru both music stores. They had a great variety of guitars; some collectors' items. One day while in Manny's G.E. Smith came in (used to be the band leader on SNL). Tavern on the Green - had dinner there three times. The gaudiest Christmas decorations you ever saw. Unique atmosphere. Food was OK too. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, whoever humbles himself will be exalted - Matthew 23:12
