Actually, Tocco's case seems a lot weaker than DiFronzo's; his wife testified that he had dirty clothes when she picked him up from burying the Spilotros and that he had admitted to the murder, but Nick was an actual eyeball witness to DiFronzo's presence at the murder. Maybe they needed harder evidence, although they convicted Jimmy Marcello with just as little.
