The picture of Masseria on holiday is from March 1930 and the woman is his wife. Theres also another photo where he is with his wife and Joe Jr.(one of nine adult sons). You can find both these pictures in New York City Gangland book.

It looks like they were both (Luciano and Masseria) down there to relax and to...gamble. During a raid on a suite in a Miami Beach hotel, 19 gamblers were rounded up. Luciano was arrested on operating the gambling game, carrying a concealed weapon (he had a revolver on him) and vagrancy charges. One of the gamblers arrested, had 60 thousand dollars on him! But another, hapless soul had only 12 cents...

your pic above says ralph staino was a soldier in the 70s 80s. But I am a little confused. And the book "blood and honor" is a source of a little of that confusion

Nicky Crow says that Staino was part of one of the street tax collection crews in the very early 80s. But then he says, at the time of Staino stealing P2P from one of their protected guys, 1986, he wasn't a made guy.

When the hell was this guy made? Or was he never made and always an associate? And if he's Ant Staino's uncle, since they have the same the same last name, does that mean Ant's dad is Ralphs brother? Is he legit?
