Robert DiBernardo, a Capo in the Gambino family ( killed on Gotti's orders for allegedly talking subversive,as accused by Sammy Gravano) was the Family's major generator of income from illegal porn such as bestiality and underage stuff. Although the other Families had some dealings in this disgusting racket,the Gambinos,under both Carlo,and later Paulie,elevated it to a significant income source.
This is why I asked my question earlier on the relationship between the mob and underage/bestiality/human trafficking stuff. I understand that members are angry and shocked over this story, but I thought the mob was into providing this kind of activity. The mob seeks out illegal items/activities that a portion of the public wants and they provide it for financial gain- such as drugs, prostitution, human trafficking/slavery, underage stuff, murder for hire, extortion, etc....
In addition to the Gambinos, I figured that Matty "the Horse" Ianello kept the Genovese family knee deep in the taboo sex activities. And I imagined he was involved with some really sick stuff in Times Square.
