Legendary Bronx Captain "Patty Dee" died last week according to Jerry Capeci, he was the son of infamous Bonnano mobster and Candian envoy Vito DeFillippo and inherited a crew from him based in the East Bronx that grew to include now infamous mobsters John Spirito Sr, Michael Mancuso, Manny Guaragna, Anthony Frascone, Anthony Seccificco, and Salvatore Montagna.

DeFilippo went way back. He and his father Vito, together with a few others, were part of the group who stayed loyal to Joe Bonanno during the Bananas war in the 1960s.

Oh yeah. Patty was, with his father and five other men, arrested in Montreal while they were on their way to Vito Rizzuto´s wedding back in 1966. I think they were stopped by the local police when they recognized Luigi Greco in one of two cars and subsequently arrested the seven men when handguns were found in the cars.
